Terminology
This page defines the core language used across LinxHound.
Core Objects
- Den: the account and billing workspace for a brand, studio, creator business, or organization.
- Hound: a public creator profile inside a Den.
- Scent: a public link, button, or redirect trail on a Hound profile.
- Bone: the destination URL behind a Scent.
- Pack Guardian: the background monitoring service that checks links and helps recover broken destinations.
Apps
- Product App: a feature that can be added to a Hound profile, such as Blog, Analytics, or Tip Jar.
- Tip Jar: the Stripe Connect powered app for tips and reader support.
- App Placement: the per-Hound setting that controls whether an app appears on that public profile.
Plans
- Free: the baseline plan for trials, demos, and lightweight profiles.
- Pup: an entry paid plan for a single creator or focused profile.
- Hound: a growth plan with more creator publishing and app capacity.
- Pack: a multi-creator plan for teams, agencies, and larger operations.
Plans define default app bundles, limits, Stripe price IDs, and platform fee defaults. Platform operators may create additional plans over time.
Promotions And Grants
- Promotion: a special offer, discount, comp, or launch campaign.
- App Grant: temporary or permanent access to an app outside the normal plan bundle.
- Extended App Time: an app grant with an expiration date, commonly used for trials or creator support.
Promotions and grants do not need to change a Den's base plan. They are layered on top of the plan so the platform can give away a free app, extend access, or run campaigns while keeping billing records clear.
