5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Public Bio Pages: Information you include in your bio page (name, role, bio text, social links, images, app placements) is publicly accessible by design. This is the core purpose of the platform.
- Infrastructure Providers: We host the platform on LunaNode servers. Your data is stored on infrastructure operated by LunaNode (lunanode.com). Data is stored in Docker containers with persistent volumes.
- Webhook Recipients: If you configure webhook endpoints, link health events and rescue notifications are delivered to your specified URLs.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, court order, or governmental request.

6. Data Storage and Security
6.1 Where We Store Your Data
Your data is stored on servers hosted by LunaNode. Uploaded images are stored on persistent Docker volumes on the same server infrastructure. Database records are stored in PostgreSQL.
6.2 Security Measures
- All data in transit is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS).
- Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms (bcrypt) and are never stored in plain text.
- Authentication uses JSON Web Tokens (JWT) with configurable secrets and expiry.
- API access to management endpoints requires authenticated JWT tokens with appropriate scopes.
- File uploads are validated for type (JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF only) and size (5 MB maximum).
- Database access is restricted to application services only.
While we implement reasonable security measures, no system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
7.1 Active Accounts
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and you continue to use the platform.
7.2 Account Deletion
When your account (Hound profile) is deleted, the following data is permanently and immediately removed:
- Your profile information (name, bio, images, role, settings)
- All bio pages and slide content
- All affiliate links (Scents) and their destination URLs (Bones)
- All social media tags
- All app placements and configurations
- All uploaded images associated with your profile
This deletion is immediate and irreversible. We do not retain soft-deleted copies of your data.
7.3 Server Logs
Server access logs are retained for a reasonable period for security and debugging purposes, then automatically rotated and deleted.
7.4 Rescue Event History
Records of automated link rescue events (when a dead link was automatically swapped to a backup) are retained as part of the platform's audit trail. These records contain link IDs and timestamps but no visitor personal data.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
8.1 For All Users
- Access: You can view all your profile data, links, and settings through the admin dashboard at any time.
- Correction: You can update your profile information, bio text, links, and settings through the admin dashboard.
- Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data. Deletion is immediate and complete.
- Data Export: You can view and copy your data through the admin dashboard. We are working on automated data export functionality.

- Right to Restriction: Request that we limit how we process your data.
- Right to Data Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to Object: Object to processing based on legitimate interest.

In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will:
- Notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, where required by law.
- Notify affected users without undue delay if the breach is likely to result in a high risk to their rights and freedoms.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at privacy@vidja.io and we will delete it.
12. Automated Decision-Making
Our Guardian service makes automated decisions about your affiliate links (detecting dead links and swapping to backup destinations). These automated decisions relate to link health management, not to you personally, and do not produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.
13. Third-Party Links
Your bio pages may contain links to third-party websites (affiliate links, social media profiles). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
14. Changes to This Policy
